Hurricane Floyd

Floyd, the sixth named storm of the Atlantic hurricane season, formed Sept. 8 in the Atlantic east of the Leeward Islands. Fortunately, the storm followed a path up the coast of the US just offshore, weakening as it progressed. The people along the East Coast of the US can consider themselves very fortunate.
