Old Research for Greek Bible Code Matrices

Are there valid Bible codes in the New Testament? Many Christians have seen the evidence pile up for valid Bible codes in the Hebrew Torah and Tanach, and they wonder whether the New Testament of the Bible has valid Bible codes? I believe the answer is yes, but not in the Greek NT manuscripts. Here's the history of research for codes in the New Testament.

In the Fall of 1998, a 5-member research team began an investigation into the Greek NT manuscripts for Bible codes, of which I was a part. We had 2 PhD's on the team who were native born Greeks. We used 5 different Greek NT manuscripts: Stephens 1550 (basis for KJV, textus receptus), Nestle-Aland 26th edition, Wescott-Hort 1881, Tischendorf 1859, and Byzantine (Majority text) 1991. For statistical control purposes, we used the Greek version of Flavius Josephus' Jewish Antiquities shortened to the same length as the 5 NT manuscripts. The choice of Greek Jewish Antiquities was made because it was written in the same timeframe and therefore the surface text would have similar word usages and sentence structures, making the overall test much better.

After a 2 and 1/2 year research process, we determined that the possible codes found in the statistical control text (Jewish Antiquities in Greek) equaled those found in any of the 5 New Testament Greek manuscripts. Therefore, our conclusion was that there were NO valid Bible codes in the Greek New Testament manuscripts. I do not want to deflect anyone else from investigating the Greek NT manuscripts for Bible codes; but I have completely abandoned it myself as of 2001 based on finding no valid codes there.

Therefore, Kevin Acres (CodeFinder: ME programmer) and I began in 2001 to obtain and format the Peshitta Aramaic New Testament, for investigation for valid Bible codes in it. Our thinking was that perhaps the Peshitta Aramaic NT was the original New Testament (primacy) with the Greek manuscripts being translations. If that were so, then perhaps there would be valid Bible codes in the Peshitta Aramaic NT text. Research has been somewhat slow, because neither Kevin or I had skills in Aramaic. We've had the capability to research the Peshitta Aramaic NT for Bible codes since 2002, and we've allowed perhaps 15 other researchers access to the Peshitta Aramaic NT text formatted for the CodeFinder: ME program.

Pastor David Bauscher of New York has immersed himself in Aramaic language studies and some investigation for Bible codes. He is just now finishing an Interlinear New Testament: Peshitta Aramaic--English. Dave has found some exciting very long (and grammatically correct) Bible codes in the Peshitta Aramaic NT text. You can see these on his website. So...it looks like there are valid Bible codes in the Peshitta Aramaic New Testament; but that conclusion is still tentative at this moment. More research is needed. by Roy A. Reinhold.
